Serena Morgan is a 2002 graduate of Pratt Institute of Art in New York City, with a B.A. in Industrial Design. Although she focused majorly on furniture design, she had a long-standing interest in creating jewelry. She took classes in metal smithing, and fell in love with the craft. After graduation, she traveled to the Philippines for an internship with a jewelry export company, during which she created her popular "Sawdust Art" jewelry line. This experience changed the course of her career, prompting her to put furniture design aside and to follow her passion for creating unique and artistic handcrafted jewelry.
Upon returning to the United States, Serena began creating her Designs by Serena Jewelry line. Sold locally in Vermont boutiques, salons, and directly out of her Northern Vermont studio for several years, Serena's beautiful jewelry has created a dedicated following and now is available on the web. Designs by Serena Jewelry follows the popular fashion and design trends, but by using high-quality materials and adding her unique artistic flair, Serena creates timeless pieces you will love, cherish and continue to wear for years to come. The inspiration for Serena's jewelry is often sparked by a color, fueled by the artist's emotions, rooted in the feelings of a season, or simply based in her interest in a unique bead or beautiful stone.
